Holly E. Schreiber works at the intersection of literary and media criticism, with particular emphasis on the topics of poverty and humor. Her research has appeared in The ComparatistLiterary Journalism StudiesInterdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment (ISLE), and Critical Studies in Media Communication.

Professor Schreiber received a dual Ph.D. in American studies and comparative literature from Indiana University, where she taught courses in literary analysis, composition, popular culture, and ethnic studies. At the University of Maine, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in journalism and media studies.
